Last week, for the first time ever, the Cut was the media sponsor of the 24th annual Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival. The nine-day celebration shed light on Black filmmakers and functioned as a safe space for cultural conversations, celebrated beauty moments, and more.
To highlight the celebrations throughout the week, photographers Katherine and Mariel Tyler turned their lens on our guests for a special photo gallery. Bethann Hardison posed in Gucci ahead of her conversation with our editor-in-chief, Lindsay Peoples; Tracee Ellis Ross stunned in Givenchy; and Spike Lee struck a pose wearing Spelman and Morehouse College paraphernalia. More guests from the gallery included Issa Rae, Dave Chappelle, and Mara Brock Akil. Scroll below to see the stunning gallery.
