On Saturday, Lola Young shared her first public statement since announcing that she was taking a break from performing. In September, Young canceled all her scheduled shows a few days after collapsing onstage at the All Things Go festival in Queens, sharing that she would be “going away for a while.” Now, Young says she is “hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams.”
Young’s statement came a day after she made her first public appearance since the All Things Go incident, showing up to Lily Allen’s star-studded Christmas party at London’s Stringfellows strip club. She was photographed with Allen and Olivia Rodrigo.
In Saturday’s post, Young thanked her fans for giving her “time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place” and said she’s felt “so much love and support from you all and it has helped more than you will ever know.” “Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well,” she added.
