It’s happening! The biggest night in fashion is underway: the 2025 Met Gala. This year’s theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and will focus on Black Dandyism, inspired by the work of Monica Miller, the author of Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. Every year brings new drama (this year, it’s Vogue corespondent Jack Schlossberg declaring his boycott because “it’s not the time for a party like that”), but at the end of the day, most of us are here for the red-carpet dresses and looks.
