It’s a tale as old as time: Two actors star in a movie, go on a sexy press tour, and flirt enough that romance rumors start to swirl. Somehow, I always fall for it — including right now, as Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson promote their new film, The Naked Gun. Could they possibly be more than just co-workers?
So far, Neeson has told People he’s “madly in love” with Anderson and has described her performance in The Last Showgirl as real, funny, and “incredibly sexy.” He also told the Sun that his favorite part of filming was working on sex scenes together. Subtle! “She’s just terrific to work with,” Neeson told People. “I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film.”
Anderson, for her part, has said their connection is “very sincere” and “very loving,” and when the Sun asked her if she’d work with Neeson again, she replied, “I’ll follow him anywhere.” The two sat down together for a chat with People, and I was kicking my feet watching the eight-minute video. Neeson and Anderson also shared a cute little cheek kiss on the red carpet at their U.K. premiere and at one point reenacted Titanic together. “Are they dating? They would make a very cute couple,” someone wrote on Anderson’s latest Instagram post, which included a video of said Titanic reenactment. Even Jersey Shore star Snooki chimed in, commenting, “Please tell me this is also a hard launch,” with three heart-eyes emoji.
Although an Anderson-Neeson relationship seems like what the people want, their flirtatious banter could very well be a case of two professional co-workers turned friends promoting a project and enjoying each other’s company. Would I love to see them date? Totally — Snooki and I are together on that one. But even if they’re just friends, they sure are fun to watch. Hey, at least it’s more entertaining than whatever Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas are doing.
