It’s been a big week for Ben Shelton, who’s currently advancing to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, soccer player Trinity Rodman, has spent the past few days cheering him on alongside his parents and his sister, Emma. Her presence in Shelton’s box has caught the attention of tennis broadcasters, and it looks like Rodman isn’t too happy with what they’ve been saying.
On Monday, Rodman posted a statement to her Instagram stories seemingly addressing the broadcasters’ ongoing commentary. “For those who don’t know … my name is TRINITY not Tiffany,” Rodman wrote — an apparent reference to Andrew Castle, a BBC commentator who repeatedly called her “Tiffany” instead of Trinity during a recent broadcast of Shelton’s match.
I'm BEGGING someone at @Wimbledon and @BBCSport to tell these world feed commentators that @BenShelton 's girlfriend is TRINITY RODMAN not TIFFANY (as they've called her no fewer than 5 times during the broadcast). She's an olympic gold medalist! Do better!

Rodman also took issue with commentators who’ve brought up her estranged father, former basketball star Dennis Rodman, each time the camera panned to her. “Also, for Ben’s matches he has his family there as his support system, which includes his dad,” she wrote. “My dads [sic] not even in MY life no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don’t even want him talked about during mine. It’s him and his loved ones’ moment.” It’s not clear which broadcast she was referring to, but Dennis’ name seems to have come up in at least a few clips, including ESPN’s coverage.

Rodman has talked openly about her tense relationship with her father — in December, she said on Call Her Daddy that they’re related “maybe by blood, but nothing else,” and called him an “extremely selfish human being.” I can see why she wouldn’t want his name repeatedly mentioned while she watches her boyfriend play tennis.
Yes, Rodman has a famous dad, but she’s also a superstar in her own right. Let’s get her name right next time.
