The press tour for The Naked Gun has given us a lot to talk about — mainly, Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s blossoming romance. Besides that, it appears that Anderson is using this time to quell any rumors of beef between her and Meghan Markle. On Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the actress shut down rumors that Markle’s Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, was a dupe of her own Prime Video series, Pamela’s Cooking With Love.
During a WWHL segment called “Plead the Fifth,” Cohen asked Anderson what she thought of the duchess’s foray into cooking entertainment. “On a scale from one to ten, how much of a rip-off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela’s Cooking With Love? There were articles saying these two shows were very similar,” Cohen said.
“One,” Anderson said, looking surprised. “I didn’t.” Cohen asked for a second time if she saw any similarities between the two shows, but Anderson repeated her answer. “I didn’t really look, but I didn’t invent cooking shows,” she said. “She’s just doing her thing.”

Anderson and Markle’s cooking shows premiered within a week of each other earlier this year and share a bit more than the word “love” in their titles. On Pamela’s Cooking With Love, Anderson has esteemed chefs join her on a rural property on Vancouver Island to prepare plant-based meals, while Markle’s With Love, Meghan features her also inviting guests — professional chefs, friends like Mindy Kaling, and her beekeeper — into her beautiful California kitchen to cook, chat, and share their wisdom.
Whether the shows are similar doesn’t really matter, because Anderson is right — she didn’t invent cooking shows, and neither did Markle. Either way, I’ll still be watching both.
