If you follow any one of the top “New York influencers” on TikTok, you already know that creator Jaz Smith (@justjazzzyidk, 469,000 followers) got married at Oheka Castle, famed site of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” video, on Long Island this weekend. Her maid of honor was Halley Kate (@halleykate, 1.5 million followers), one of her bridesmaids was Brigette Pheloung (@acquiredstyle, 1.6 million followers), and guests included several other influencers with millions of followers combined. The event was documented from every angle in real time — Jaz herself posted over 20 TikToks on her own wedding day. Fans and attendees are calling it the “royal wedding.”

How did this pinnacle of wedding content creation come to be? Let’s discuss.
So who got married? And who all was there?
Jaz Smith and Kevin Callari got married in front of friends, family, and fellow influencers on Saturday. In addition to Jaz’s internet-famous bridesmaids, guests included Remi Bader (@remibader, 2.2 million followers), Hallie Batchelder (@halliebatchelder, 584,000 followers), Brandon Edelman (@bran__flakezz, 1.3 million followers), Serena Kerrigan (@serenakerrigan, 606,000 followers), Danielle Pheloung (@daniellephe, 518,000 followers), Davis Burelson, (@davisburleson, 586,000 followers), Kit Keenan (@kitkeenan, 311,000 followers), and Carly Weinstein (@carlyweinstein1, 524,000 followers), who said she was “pretty sure we broke the record for the most cannon g7xs per square foot.”
@halliebatchelder He’s sending me already @bran_flakezz
@acquiredstyle I tried to vlog as much as I could but it was the best day @jaz 🤍🤍🤍🤍
@halleykate I’ll also put everything on my pickle!
How did the bride post so much content during her wedding?
Lucky for us, Jaz revealed the method to her madness in — what else? — a TikTok that she posted the morning after the wedding.
@justjazzzyidk and i’m so glad you guys enjoyed it
The influencer revealed that she created a spreadsheet with upward of 40 video ideas and directions for filming them before the wedding. She then tasked her assistant with managing the list as she made her way through the getting-ready process, the ceremony, the reception, and the after-party. “Her job throughout the day was making sure these videos get done,” Jaz said. “It took me maybe 60 seconds for each video.”

Jaz also explained why it was important to her to document her big day in real time: “I genuinely felt like I needed to do this because I have the lifestyle that I have, and I had the wedding that I had because of the fact that this is my job and you guys care. Obviously I would never let anybody actually come to the wedding — that’s just, like, too far — but it makes sense for you guys to virtually be there because you genuinely did help pay for it.”
(Weddings at Oheka Castle can run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, for the record.)
What was the wedding actually like?
According to the myriad TikToks produced by Jaz and her guests, the dress code was all-black black tie. (Bader revealed that she did not get this memo until the day of the wedding and almost wore a butter-yellow gown to the ceremony. Oops.)
@remibader Imagine I just showed up in MF BUTTER YELLOW YO????
Halley Kate’s maid-of-honor speech immediately referenced Jaz’s social-media following and was, naturally, posted on TikTok for the world to enjoy.
@halleykate Yall begged, here ya go 😂 @jaz
By the end of the night, the wedding looked like any other mid-20s celebration: a bit drunk.
@daniellephe I love you @Hallie Batchelder
Okay, I’ve watched 246 TikToks from this wedding and I still need more. Where do I go?
Jaz also recorded an episode of her podcast with Halley Kate, Delusional Diaries, the morning after the wedding. It’s on Patreon, of course.
@justjazzzyidk I haven’t slept all week
And if you’re worried that all this content creation was a distraction for Jaz during one of the most important moments of her life, don’t. “It did not take away from my day at all,” she said. “I was completely present.”
