On Sunday, the surgeons, attendings, and interns of The Pitt finally made it through their excruciating ER shift and dressed up for the 2025 Emmy Awards. Our beloved sexy-doctor show made its Emmys debut, and the cast have exchanged their scrubs for well-tailored tuxedos and neon evening gowns. The HBO Max series is nominated for 13 Emmys but already brought home two of those wins at the Creative Arts ceremony earlier this month (Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for Shawn Hatosy’s turn as Dr. Jack Abbot.) On Sunday night, the show took home three more, including one for ER alum Noah Wyle — who stars as Dr. Robbie on top of writing, directing, and executive producing the show.
Gracing the evening’s sweltering red carpet were Wyle, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Isa Briones, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, Tracy Ifeachor, and Hatosy. It is truly shocking to see these stressed-out doctors so glowy and well rested. Briones, who plays the mostly insufferable Dr. Trinity Santos, opted for a brat-green corset gown that would probably make Charli XCX proud. Azeez wore a billowing red mermaid gown, while Wyle opted for a classic tux. Howell (Whitaker) finally looked his age in a gray oversize suit, and Ball (Dr. Frank Langdon) looked as hot as ever in his best Professor Plum cosplay. Katherine LaNasa, who plays nurse Dana Evans, was also on hand; she was nominated for her first-ever Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Early in the show, LaNasa won her category, defeating an army of White Lotus actresses, Patricia Arquette, and Julianne Nicholson. In her speech, LaNasa thanked the show’s creators, her co-stars, and “all the nurses that inspired Dana.”

Later in the night, Wyle — in a custom tuxedo from the scrubs brand Figs —took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, which was his first-ever Emmy win and his first nomination since 1999. “Thank you to everybody at HBO Max and to Warner Bros. Television for allowing the conditions to exist for lightning to strike twice in my life. John Welles, thank you for being that lightning,” Wyle said, referring to his previous work on ER. “And mostly, to anybody who’s going on shift tonight or coming off shift tonight, thank you for being in that job. This is for you.”
Immediately after that, The Pitt took home the award for Outstanding Drama Series. What a pleasure it was to see all of our friends from Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center with smiles on their faces post–Pitt Fest. Congrats to all these hotties. In even better news, there are only a few more months before we all get to clock back in for season two.
