New fashion nightmare unlocked: Suki Waterhouse apparently wound up in the hospital from wearing tight pants. On Monday, Waterhouse revealed in an X post that she recently experienced a pants-related health scare. “‘suki you never tweet anymore,’” she wrote. “have you ever considered I wore pants so tight 6 months ago it caused a hernia & I’ve been too scared to tell you.”
She then shared a selfie from what appeared to be a hospital bed and a photo of her onstage in some very tight leather pants — presumably the offending pair.

Is it possible Waterhouse is kidding about her pants? Sure. But it does seem like this is, at least, a thing that could feasibly happen. According to Mayo Clinic, hernias can be caused by increased pressure on the abdomen, which tight pants are famously known to create. They can also happen after pregnancy, and Waterhouse did give birth last year.

Waterhouse is heading back on tour in August, so whatever happened, it sounds like she’s doing better now. Time will only tell what bottoms she opts for this time. Might we suggest something a bit more breathable?
