If you were in New York last night and felt something warm and electric vibrating above your head, do not fear. It was just two tall people radiating love and affection in midtown. Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson made their red-carpet debut last night at the inaugural gala for Meg’s Pete & Thomas Foundation.
Just a few days after they posted each other on Instagram — him in the deep background of some bikini pics, the back of her head while they shared a kiss — the couple made things red-carpet official. Both of them are beaming in the photos, and they had nothing but positive things to say about each other to the reporters on the carpet.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Thompson gushed about Megan and how proud her late parents (whom she named the foundation after) would be. “I’m honored to be here by her side,” Thompson said. “I know both of them would be so proud of their only daughter because of what — not only what she’s been able to accomplish, what she’s also going to continue to do. She has never been put in a box, or allowed herself to be in a box, and she just continues to inspire so many people around the world.”

“I feel like my mom would’ve been like, ‘Wow, you finally picked a nice man!’” Megan told the tabloid. “We kissed a lot of frogs, but now we got a real prince! I feel like they would be very proud. My dad would be very happy.”
Speaking to “Page Six,” Megan added that she had “never dated somebody so kind.” She told People that the two had a meet-cute that was “like a fucking movie … I won’t tell you how and I won’t tell you when, but it was a movie that he’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in my life,” she said.
