Marisa Abela is settling in for the long haul. On Saturday, the 28-year-old actress, known for playing Yasmin Kara-Hanani on Industry and Amy Winehouse in Back to Black, married her longtime partner, Jamie Bogyo. To celebrate the occasion, the couple gathered their closest family and friends in a 15th-century manor in East Sussex — plus a Vogue photographer to capture every detail of the fairy-tale wedding. It looked very fun, and now I am wondering if I should take up Anglophilia as a hobby.
For the big day, Abela took inspiration from Audrey Hepburn’s drop-waist dress in Funny Face. Her version was an Emilia Wickstead gown that took over 250 hours to make and was constructed from 20 meters of silk duchesse satin. She accessorized with a diamond headpiece from Mayfair jeweler Bentley & Skinner and a pair of Jimmy Choos. “I walked down the aisle to the theme of Cinema Paradiso, which was the film that Jamie and I watched at his apartment in Ladbroke Grove before we both told each other ‘I love you,’” she told Vogue. The couple, who met at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2016, exchanged personalized vows in front of a group of guests that included many of her Industry colleagues — creators Konrad Kay and Mickey Down; casting director Julie Harkin; and co-stars Kit Harrington, Conor MacNeill, and Myha’la. Love! It’s real, I guess!

After the ceremony, they moved on to an extravagant Saltburn-esque celebration at the Soho House in Brighton, where they danced, took shots of 1942, and made out a lot. Abela changed into a custom blazer and sport shorts from Ukrainian designer Bevza to accommodate the particular flavor of dance moves required of a bitching after-party. Wishing a big congratulations to the newlyweds, and please, God, hear my prayers for an invite to one of these lavish celebrity lovefests.
