Over the last week, the Kardashian-obsessed corners of the internet have worked themselves into a tizzy over a new rumor. Based on minimal evidence, they started to wonder if Mason Disick, the 15-year-old son of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, had fathered a daughter named Piper. Geez! That’s a lot. On Sunday, Kardashian stepped in to squash the rumor before it could get any more out of hand.
“I rarely address rumors or conspiracies regarding myself or my family, but this is about my child and it feels wrong to let anyone think for a second that these lies are remotely true. They are not,” Kardashian wrote in an Instagram Story. “Mason does not have a child.”
“These accounts that pretend to be him are definitely not. They are FAKE,” she continued. “My son really values his privacy, and I am asking all media to please be respectful: He is a kid with feelings and a beautiful life ahead of him. Please stop spreading false narratives and spinning lies.”
The accounts she’s referring to are Instagram accounts that purport to be Mason’s Finsta. One in particular appears to have started the rumor, an account going by the name “masonddsh” that has since been deleted. In an Instagram Story that now only exists as screenshots on celebrity-gossip TikTok accounts, the account was asked, “Did you have a baby?” and responded with, “Yea I did.” That account also shared photos of a toddler when asked for a “pic of Piper.”
Posts about Mason possibly having a child have gone massively viral on TikTok, with a few — all made by adults — reaching millions of views. Perez Hilton, 46, also felt the need to comment. The conversation moved to Reddit, too, where users in r/Kardashians had a lengthy discussion about if the rumor was true, how it could possibly relate to the ongoing Alabama Barker drama, and — most disgustingly — whether Mason was old enough to impregnate someone. At this point, it might be in everyone’s best interest if we just shut the whole internet down.
Kardashian wrapped up her statement by reminding everyone that they were being really weird about all of this. “And to all the other people making videos about my kids (who, by the way, are minors), please stop and leave them alone,” she wrote. If you absolutely must follow Mason Disick, he does have a verified account for that reason — but just know, it’s mostly him and his friends wearing enormous pants.
