How to Watch the WNBA All-Star Game

by thenowvibe_admin

We’re about halfway through the WNBA season and with just three weeks to go until the WNBA All-Star Game on July 19, there’s a lot to catch up on. First, there was the draft. Then the Met Gala — okay, that wasn’t actually part of the season, but the New York Liberty did show out. There have been some questionable fouls and lots of heat on the court. Rookies are making their mark (looking at you, Sonia Citron), and history is being made — A’ja Wilson just became the fastest player in league history to reach 5,000 career points. We even got a hard launch, people! Now that you’re caught up(ish), here’s a handy everything guide to the big game.

What is the WNBA’s All-Star weekend?

The Women’s National Basketball Association All-Star Game is an annual exhibition game between the best players of the WNBA’s Western and Eastern conferences. The starters are chosen by fans voting online. The rest of the players are determined by league personnel, head coaches, and media personalities. An all-star game Most Valuable Player will be named at the end of the game, selected by a panel of media members.

How can I watch the WNBA All-Star Game?

The game will take place on Saturday, July 19. The game is hosted at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, home of the Fever, but you can also watch it on ABC, Disney+, and ESPN+ at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Which WNBA players won the most fan votes?

The Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark and the Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier are the 2025 captains. Clark and Collier earned the most fan votes, with Clark receiving 1,293,526 votes and Collier receiving 1,176,020.

So, who else is playing?

The other eight starters were announced on June 30 on ESPN: Aliyah Boston (Indiana Fever), Paige Bueckers (Dallas Wings), Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream), Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty), Nneka Ogwumike (Seattle Storm), Satou Sabally (Phoenix Mercury), Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty), and A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces). The rest of the teams will be filled by the league’s head coaches and revealed across WNBA social media on Sunday, July 6, at noon ET.

Who should we watch for MVP?

The favorite is Napheesa Collier. Before her back injury, she was nearly unstoppable, averaging 25.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Despite missing the last two Lynx games, she still leads the league in scoring 24.4 points per game. While Collier appears to be pulling ahead, Caitlin Clark continues to play at a high level — she averages 8.9 assists per game and 18.2 points per game. New York Liberty’s Breanna Stewart has also entered the conversation. Over Stewart’s last ten games, she averaged 21.7 points and took command for New York.

Who is still the league’s best mascot?

Ellie the Elephant and no, I will not be taking any questions.
