Earlier this month, the trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs ended in a mixed verdict with the music mogul acquitted on sex-trafficking and racketeering charges. In the trial’s aftermath, Kesha publicly shared a message to Cassie Ventura, whose allegations of abuse against Combs were central to the case. “Cassie, I believe you. I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor,” Kesha wrote in a post on X after the verdict was announced.
It seems like that support is mutual. In an X post Wednesday, Kesha shared a photo of flowers Cassie had sent her backstage before her show at Madison Square Garden. Kesha thanked her in the post, calling Cassie her “good luck angel for MSG.”
Thank u Cassie 💕
Love you sweet girl.

During the show, after an emotional performance of “Praying,” her anthem about finding peace after trauma, Kesha told the audience about Cassie’s gift and shared a message to fans who’ve survived abuse. “Earlier tonight, Cassie sent me flowers backstage,” Kesha said. “I just want you to know that all of this love is not only for me; it’s for anyone who survived anything they shouldn’t have had to survive … I feel like, to be an Animal — we’re tough motherfuckers.”

Kesha has been a fierce advocate for abuse survivors since accusing her former producer, Dr. Luke, of sexual assault in 2014. The producer countersued her for defamation, and their legal battle stretched on until they reached a settlement in 2023. At Coachella last April, weeks after federal agents raided Combs’s homes, Kesha made a notable change to the lyrics of “Tik Tok” while performing with Reneé Rapp. Instead of “Wake up in the morning feeling like P.Diddy,” the two flipped their middle fingers and sang, “Wake up in the morning like, ‘Fuck P.Diddy.’”
