It has been almost two years without the kookiness of And Just Like That … on our TV screens, but thankfully that’s coming to an end next week. The Sex and the City spinoff is finally back for season three, which means that the show’s stars turned out on Thursday night for the premiere. Of course, the women in the cast looked wonderful, but we talk about their fits all the time. We must take a moment and give it up for John Corbett, who showed up on the red carpet with his wife, Bo Derek, and an exciting new look.
I’ll go first. He looks amazing. The gray creeping in at his temples is working for him, as are his nighttime sunglasses. More than that, however, he’s really pulling off the beard. What a shock it is to learn that the only thing that was keeping Corbett from winning first place at a Jeff Bridges look-alike contest was some facial hair!
I am not the only one who is loving seeing what it would look like if Aidan Shaw chilled out for once. Over on the And Just Like That … Reddit, fans are coming to terms with the fact that Corbett was born to have this beard. “I wish John looked like this in the show; he looks great here. Almost good enough for me to root for Aiden [sic], but no we get the awful hair and the serial killer coat,” one user wrote.

Some fans believe in the beard so much that they feel it would have made Aidan more tolerable on the show. “I’m surprised I don’t hate it. Honestly, it would’ve made the return of Aiden [sic] actually kinda hot,” one commenter said. In response, someone added, “It really suits him. He has thin lips and a massive chin, and this gives such definition to his face. I would hate Aidan less if he had this beard.” Well, damn!
The beard is doing amazing things for him, but let’s not pretend that Corbett hasn’t always been hot. Unfortunately, based on photos from the set, it doesn’t look like Aidan grew his beard out back in Virginia. But, hey, there’s always season four …
