Meghan Markle and some of the new products featured on As Ever’s website.
It’s a big day for Meghan Markle. Not only did she release all eight episodes of her new show, With Love, Meghan, on Netflix, but she also announced the product line for her brand As Ever. And guess what? It is not just jam. She contains multitudes.
The As Ever website now shows a preview of what’s to come from the brand, which includes raspberry preserves (with or without “keepsake packaging”), honey, three different kinds of herbal tea, crepe mix, shortbread cookie mix, and flower sprinkles. Those of you who have already managed to binge With Love, Meghan might note that some of these products — the preserves, the tea, the honey, and the flower sprinkles — all make appearances on the show. That’s what we call synergy, baby.
Now, As Ever is not telling us how much any of this will cost or when exactly it will actually be available for purchase. There are no prices on the site, and when you try to click on an item you’re directed to enter your email so that you can “save your seat at the table.” Would it have been smart to have a warehouse full of preserves and tea ready to be sold alongside the show? Probably. Instead, if you watch the show and are influenced to put flower petals on your avocado toast, you have to wait until “Spring 2025” to get their “flower sprinkles.”
Business issues aside (and there have been many), I bet all of this stuff is going to taste really good. The propaganda of With Love, Meghan is working on me, and I completely believe that the Duchess of Sussex would never sell me a low quality hibiscus tea. The honey comes with honeycomb! Shortbread cookie mix is a rip-off (you definitely already have the ingredients in your house), but you better believe that I will be purchasing the raspberry preserves to spread on my own homemade shortbread. Congrats to Meghan for getting this endeavor nearly off the ground, I look forward to seeing its full take off and, I imagine, balking at how much this jam will run me.
