A wise woman once sang, “Summer lovin’…had me a blast,” and if there’s one thing I know for certain, the Grease soundtrack does not lie. There is something particularly sweet about a summer romance. The temperatures rise, the sun sets later, and there’s a plethora of opportunities to find love while flirtatiously holding hands or even making out under the boardwalk. Swoon.
Summer 2025 is no exception because the opportunities for romance are plentiful, according to astrologer Kait Leonard, the author of the PiscesMoon newsletter on Substack and host of the PiscesMoon podcast. “Get ready to have the earth shake a little bit… there’s going to be some unexpected, big surprises,” Leonard warned. “This is love that comes out of nowhere—but it’s meant to wake you up.”
There are four signs most likely to find love (or at least fall into bed) this summer. Curious? Keep reading to see what summer lovin’ may be in store for you.
Scorpio
Venus, the planet that rules love and pleasure, moves through Scorpio’s relationship zone in June, making it prime time to find love, deeper commitments, or a very welcome surprise. “This is the goddess of love passing through the house of marriage, relationships, all of that,” Leonard said. “For people already in relationships, this would mean a renewal of love, a deepening of love. Or, you know, it could mean somebody on the side. I don’t judge.” If you’re single, this is an opportunity to connect with someone special.
Watch out in particular for June 26, when Venus connects with your North Node (sort of like your soul’s GPS, representing your destiny or where you’re meant to grow in this life). This powerful connection can cause sparks to fly in a major way. “This is destined love… There’s gonna be some aspect to it that this person needs to grab it while it’s there,” Leonard said.
Sagittarius
In July, Venus shifts into Gemini, which is the opposite sign of Sagittarius, and this shines a big spotlight on this sign’s relationship potential. “This is the time to go to parties and get social,” Leonard said. Sag is sort of known as the party animal of the zodiac anyway, but this is a key time to get out there and flirt it up. Keep an eye out for July 6, when Venus connects with Saturn, a planet all about structure, commitment, and the big picture. This could be the day your partner finally pops the question (if you’ve been waiting) or just the time you and a new crush define the relationship.

If you are heading into summer single, don’t be surprised if a past lover comes knocking, Leonard said. Mercury is going retrograde, after all. If it was a “the one that got away” situation, perhaps explore what a future could look like together. If this is someone whose number is saved as “don’t pick up” in your phone…ignore and focus on the plentiful options in front of you, Sag.
Capricorn
August brings warm, romantic Cancer season, and Venus is shining on Capricorn’s partnership sector. Leonard called this one of the most “beautiful, soulful” love transits of the year. Lucky you, Cap! “This is the time you may meet the lover of your dreams. Meet your soul mate. It’s karma. It’s fated.” So, if you’re single and find love with your new Hinge match, lean in!
If you’ve already got a lover, this may signal a deepening of the relationship. Perhaps you discuss moving in, marriage, or whatever the next step looks like for you. Focus your attention on the Venus and North Node connection on August 15. “This is the time you find yourself moving into a soul union,” Leonard said.
Aquarius
Aquariuses’ big moment arrives at the end of summer when Venus moves into Leo on August 25 and lights up their relationship zone. And let’s just say… she’s not being subtle about it. “This is like—we’re making it public,” Leonard said. “Everybody gets to see the ring. We’re taking our romance on the road. The light is shining on love.”
If you’ve been waiting for someone to step up or define the relationship, this is when things could turn very official, very fast. August 25 is also the day when Venus aligns with Saturn, the planet of commitment and tradition. Think proposals, renewing vows, or deciding to take your partnership to the next level in a very concrete way. “Saturn says that’s fine—we’re going to put a ring on it,” Leonard said.
And then the next day? Buckle up because Venus’s energy gets even stronger as it connects with Uranus, a planet known for being a disruptor. You can expect a major plot twist, says Leonard. “This is gigantic. This is people eloping,” she said. “You meet this person totally unexpectedly—like you’re sitting in the waiting room of your dental appointment, and the love of your life shows up.”
Whether it’s a long-term partner surprising you with something big or a love story that starts with a meet-cute from absolutely nowhere, this is your rom-com moment. Showtime, Aquarius.
