How many rulers can fit in one sentence? Try this: Lorde will preside over Governors Ball in Queens. The iconic New York festival is returning to Flushing Meadows Corona Park this June with one of its most exciting lineups in years. Lorde is ruling Friday, marking her first time headlining the festival after she performed there in 2017. Stray Kids will take over on Saturday before handing Sunday over to New York hometown hero A$AP Rocky, who first headlined the festival in 2021 at Citi Field.
Each headliner is supported by a complementary, not-quite-as-famous act. Joining Lorde on Friday is Kendrick Lamar’s cousin Baby Keem; Stray Kids will take the stage after Spanglish “Telapatía” singer Kali Uchis; and before A$AP will be BLACKPINK member Jennie.
Other major names playing the festival span the genre continuum. The headliners will be joined by K-pop group Katseye; rock bands like Pierce the Veil, Geese, and Wet Leg; R&B stars Mariah the Scientist, Blood Orange, and Ravyn Lenae; and indie-pop faves Japanese Breakfast, King Princess, Audrey Hobert, and Rachel Chinouriri.
