All’s Fair, the campy new legal drama by Ryan Murphy, debuted this week to zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes and devastating reviews. Critics apparently did not take kindly to Kim Kardashian and her co-stars, which include Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Naomi Watts. Variety called the show “a clumsy, condescending take on rah-rah girlboss feminism”; the Sunday Times declared that it was “the worst TV drama ever”; and The Hollywood Reporter called it “brain dead.” Harsh. But you know who’s not letting it get to her? Kardashian, obviously.
The reality star poked fun at the scathing reviews by posting a carousel of photos from the show’s press tour and screenshots of fans declaring their love for the “bad” show. “Some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen in my life alongside the most predictable story lines and the most ridiculous styling. I’m obsessed. I need 14 seasons,” one meme said, while another read, “#AllsFair is just Screen Queens for wine moms and millennial gays. You just don’t get it.”

“Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year?!?!?!” Kardashian asked in the caption. The commenters appear to be on her side, with multiple accounts calling the post “iconic” and “epic.” “Troll them Kim bc I’m literally sat waiting for episode 4 while haters gonna hate,” another fan wrote.
Now, is the show ridiculous? Yes — Kardashian’s thong suit alone is enough for me to question my sanity, but this is what Murphy is known for. He made this show for an audience who loved the absurdity of Glee and The Politician, not for the people who choose to refer to movies as “films.” Let’s not forget that the critics hated Twilight and Jennifer’s Body, too; both have gone on to become cult classics. If Kardashian hasn’t convinced you to tune in yet, at least watch the show for all the fabulous gloves.
