It’s hard to believe that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding was only three weeks ago. From the outside, it seemed like the celebrity invitees who were shipped out to Venice would’ve been overwhelmed with all of the paparazzi, outfit changes, musical performances, and worldwide scrutiny, but at least one attendee says that actually, it was pretty chill.
“It’s so interesting how the optics were this over the top, you know, protesters … it’s just not, it’s not what it was,” Sara Foster said during the Thursday episode of The World’s First Podcast with Erin & Sara Foster. “It actually felt very intimate.” I guess when someone spends millions and millions of dollars, it’s easy to block out the noise from a city full of angry locals.

A billionaire’s 200-person destination wedding full of A-listers doesn’t exactly sound low-key. Per People, Venice turned into a “fortresslike operation” during the weekend and the couple had to change their wedding venue days before due to security concerns. Sánchez ended up turning out look after over-the-top look and debuted her mermaid-style wedding gown via a digital cover of Vogue.
In all, the events of the Bezos-Sánchez wedding are estimated to have cost $10 million. But sure … intimate.
