Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is having a pretty good year so far. In February, the 26-year-old phenom led his NFL franchise to its second-ever Super Bowl championship (doesn’t hurt that Kendrick Lamar and his little bootcut jeans were on hand to witness it all). Now, the pro baller has announced that he and his longtime girlfriend Bryonna “Bry” Burrows recently tied the knot. In a Men’s Health cover story out Tuesday, Hurts shared that he and Burrows got married this spring, telling the outlet, “You can call her my wife.”
Per Essence, Burrows is currently an AI partner at IBM who keeps a relatively low profile in comparison to her fiancée. The couple reportedly have been dating since 2016, when they met at the University of Alabama. Hurts confirmed their relationship in 2023, after he and Burrows were spotted together celebrating the Eagles’ NFC Championship win against the San Francisco 49ers. The couple announced their engagement via Essence in September with a romantic beach photo shoot. They held hands! They were surrounded by candles! A violinist played live music for them!
Hurts speaks pretty sparingly about his now-wife, but according to Men’s Health, the athlete showed up to his interview with a crumpled Post-It note from Burrows that read, “You are exactly where you are supposed to be. I love you. Follow God! I follow you.” Okay, they’re cute! Wishing them all the happiness and many more kisses at Super Bowls to come.
