After having her viral denim ad be compared to “fascist propaganda” and her Republican voter status leaked, you’d think Sydney Sweeney would be laying low — not showing up to the filming of one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year. According to People, the actress was spotted on the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2, seemingly ready to clock in and make some movie magic.
On Wednesday, August 6, onlookers captured footage of someone believed to be Sweeney leaving the same trailer as Emily Blunt, concealing her identity with a hoodie and an oversized umbrella. Now, could this really be her? Sure, why not — the sequel already has a stacked cast of new faces, including Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Simone Ashley, and Ciara. What’s another arbitrary celebrity cameo, really?

While a number of social-media accounts have been posting fake sightings of celebrities appearing to be on set for the movie, I’m inclined to believe that this one is legit. Sweeney often has her hands full with projects and random spon-con gigs, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she somehow booked a part in the sequel. If I had to guess, Sweeney will either be playing herself vying for the September cover of Runway, a young journalist experiencing her very first layoff, or Miranda’s new assistant. I guess I’ll have to wait and see if my predictions are true next May.
