Dodger Stadium Is a Celebrity Hot Spot Right Now

Baseball is not usually the most glamorous sport. Its WAGs aren’t as famous as the NFL’s, it doesn’t have the same sexy Euro element that F1 does, and sitting behind home plate is not as cool as sitting courtside at a Knicks game. However, the World Series made its way to Los Angeles earlier this week after two games in Toronto, and the Dodgers’ home games have been quite a draw for A-listers. On Monday, the Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays in game three after 18 grueling innings in front of a celeb-filled crowd. Then, on Tuesday, the Blue Jays brought the series to 2-2 with even more famous faces in the crowd.

The first two games of the series were played in Toronto, which obviously means that Drake was there. Pharrell, Alessia Cara, Bebe Rexha, and the Jonas Brothers all performed during those games, but that’s sort of where the star power ended (with all love and respect to the great city of Toronto). Game three is when the stars really started turning out. Here’s everyone who’s come out to watch Shohei Ohtani & Co. try to win their second consecutive championship.

Brad Paisley

The country singer sang the national anthem on Monday night, but because the Dodgers are playing the Blue Jays, they also had Canadian JP Saxe there to sing “O Canada.” With all due respect to Saxe, there was someone else in the crowd who might’ve been a better get.

Justin and Hailey Bieber

C’mon. Let’s get Bieber singing a swagged-out version of his country’s anthem. This is what the people want. On Monday, Hailey went for a casual look with a zit sticker on her face, while Bieber wore a custom Blue Jays jersey with his name on the back. We know this because someone caught him on video giving a big thumbs-down to Ohtani.

Who better to hype up the crowd than some of the most successful podcasters alive?

Jacob Elordi

Some of the stars at Monday’s game opted to hang in the MLB celebrity suite. Here, Elordi is taking a break from his hot Frankenstein promo tour to pose with the World Series trophy.

Madison Beer and Justin Herbert

Like I said, the WAGs are more fun in the NFL. Beer and Herbert, the L.A. Chargers quarterback, leant some of their celebrity-couple glam to the proceedings Monday night.

Because she’s a lightning rod, this drew the ire of some baseball fans, in what both the New York Post and the Daily Mail called a “liberal meltdown.” It could probably be more accurately described as “a bunch of losers tweeting.” Anyway, she also showed up in an Ohtani jersey and sat next to pro boxer Christy Martin, whom she’s playing in an upcoming biopic.

Lebron James

James’s sciatica is keeping him off of the basketball court for now, but it was not going to stop him from heading to the Dodgers game.
