Diddy’s Kids Are Already Celebrating ‘Pops Coming Home’

On Wednesday, a Manhattan jury handed Sean “Diddy” Combs a mixed verdict, finding him guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and acquitting him on sex-trafficking and racketeering charges. After the verdict was read, fans who had gathered outside the courthouse celebrated Diddy’s acquittal on the most serious charges brought against him, and his family members, including his mother and a handful of his six children, joined in.

Diddy was denied bond on Wednesday and could face up to 20 years in prison when he’s sentenced in November, but that didn’t stop his sons from eagerly anticipating his exoneration. Speaking to ABC News, Christian “King” Combs, who is 27, thanked his father’s supporters. “We love y’all. We love everybody watching. I’m so happy,” he said. “Pops coming home. God bless the whole world.” Christian added that the family had been “hopeful” about the verdict, “but you never know.” “First thing I’m gonna do is hug my Pops!” he said. Meanwhile, Justin Combs, who’s 31, told the Daily Mail he was “so happy.”

Both Justin and Christian have been implicated in the slew of allegations against their father — in a lawsuit filed last year, a woman claimed Christian had sexually assaulted her while she was working on a yacht chartered by Diddy in 2022; last week, just as Diddy’s trial reached closing arguments, a woman sued him and Justin in Los Angeles for allegedly imprisoning and repeatedly raping her in 2017. On the same day last week’s suit was filed, Christian released a song produced by Ye called “Diddy Free.”

Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, was also feeling jubilant after the verdict. She told reporters that “I feel incredible. I feel good.” Two of the rapper’s other children — his oldest, 34-year-old Quincy Brown, and 18-year-old Chance Combs — were also present for the verdict, per “Page Six.”

Throughout the two-month trial, Diddy’s children were regular fixtures at the courthouse, steadfastly supporting him. Six of his seven kids, ranging in age from 18 to 34, attended much of the proceedings, where their father was frequently spotted waving at them as they sat in the gallery. (The seventh, Love Sean, is 2.) In October, shortly after his arrest, the six older children released a joint statement in support of their father. “The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media,” they wrote. “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”
