Taylor Swift’s Friends Are Loving The Life of a Showgirl

by thenowvibe_admin

In case you somehow haven’t heard yet, Taylor Swift has a new album out. So far, the reception has been mixed — a lot of people are having a love-hate relationship, to put it gently, with Swift’s references to her fiancé’s “redwood” and lines about “girlbossing too close to the sun.” But The Life of a Showgirl has some fans — among them, Swift’s famous friends. Some of them are on the album, some have worked with her before, and others are just basking in the glow of a new Swift release. Here’s what they’re saying.

Sabrina Carpenter

Carpenter, who is featured on the album’s title track, posted a photo of her and Swift hugging on Instagram. “I love you Taylor,” she captioned it.

Florence Welch

The lead singer of Florence and the Machine shared a selfie with Swift, apparently taken on Friday. “When your promo days cross over and you get to hug in the hallway,” Welch wrote. “Happy release day to one of the greats, Taylor Swift.”

Flavor Flav

It sounds like self-proclaimed King Swiftie Flavor Flav loved the album. “This Empire Belongs to Her,” he wrote in a post on X.

50 Cent

It sounds like Minaj really likes the album — she posted a track-by-track review Friday morning. Apparently “Wood,” Swift’s ode to Travis Kelce’s “redwood,” was a particular favorite; she tweeted about it three times.

Nikki Glaser

Glaser shared a handwritten list of her ranking of the album tracks on an Instagram Story. Apparently, her favorite so far is “The Fate of Ophelia,” and the bottom slot went to “Eldest Daughter.”

Travis Kelce & Co.

Travis and his brother, Jason, haven’t personally posted yet, but their podcast did wish followers a happy The Life of a Showgirl release day. Now that’s brand synergy.

Maren Morris

The country singer turned pop star posted a selfie to her Instagram Story praising “Eldest Daughter” and its lyrics (“Every eldest daughter/was the first lamb to the slaughter”). “I’ll never forgive you for hitting me this hard,” she wrote. “Well done.”

Goo Goo Dolls

The rock band formerly known as the Sex Maggots wished Swift congratulations on the new-album drop alongside an old video of her covering their song “Iris.” Now that’s what I call a deep cut.
