Days after she collapsed onstage at the All Things Go festival in Queens, Lola Young announced Tuesday that she was canceling all her upcoming shows and “going away for a while.”
“It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future,” she wrote in a statement on Instagram. Young thanked fans for their support and said all tickets would be refunded. “I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger,” she added.

On Saturday, Young collapsed onstage at the festival in the middle of her song “Conceited” and was carried offstage by medical responders. In an Instagram Story post shortly afterward, she thanked fans for their support and reassured them she was “doing okay now.”
The next day, hours before she was set to perform at All Things Go in Washington, D.C., Young canceled her show. In an Instagram post, the British singer said she was “sorry” not to be playing. “I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted, so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this,” she wrote. “I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future.”

Sunday also marked the second show Young canceled in a few days — she was supposed to perform at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert at Newark’s Prudential Center on Friday but canceled due to what her manager, Nick Shymansky, described as a “sensitive matter,” per Billboard. “Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,” Shymansky wrote on Instagram. “She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
Fellow musicians have responded with an outpouring of support for Young. After her incident in Queens, Remi Wolf gave an update on Young’s condition during her set, telling fans, “My friend Lola is backstage and she’s okay.” After taking the stage, Doechii also gave a shout-out to Young. “She’s an incredibly talented artist, she wasn’t feeling well tonight. I’m so glad that you guys were there to support her, hold her up,” she said, before leading fans in a chant of “We love you, Lola!” Meanwhile, on Instagram, Hayley Kiyoko also shared her best wishes. “We love you Lola, take all the time that you need,” she wrote.
