Kourtney Kardashian Thinks Going to School Is ‘Dated’

by thenowvibe_admin

School? The place where children go to learn to read, write, solve problems, hone their fine motor skills, and exist in community with their peers? That nonsense is out, according to Kourtney Kardashian. The eldest Kardashian/Jenner sister and mother of four guested on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, last week. On the show, she said that she “loves to go against the grain.” Part of that rebel streak includes questioning what the purpose of sending children to school is. (It’s so they can learn.)

“I think living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is,” Kourtney said, offering a thesis statement that would probably get a D- in eighth-grade English. “Let’s say, the school system — I’ll think, Why do kids fucking go to school? Truly, it’s so dated.” In a sense, she’s right. People have been going to school for thousands of years, which counts as “dated” in the same way that plumbing or cooking food does.

Kourtney said she came to this point of view when her kids sent her videos from “successful people” saying “my kids never go to school, and they’re never going to.” This apparently kicked off a dialogue with her children in which she asked, “What’s the goal here? You want to do homeschool? Let’s do it.” Not to cast aspersions on one woman’s motherhood journey, but it sounds like Kourtney got played. Soon, her kids will be showing her TikToks of a deep-fake Bill Gates saying that his own offspring became their best selves thanks to unfettered access to Roblox and candy.

Kourtney didn’t receive much pushback from her sister, who described herself as “such a homeschool person.” “Don’t even get me going,” Khloé said. Thankfully, there wasn’t any time. Just as Kourtney was getting into why she doesn’t give her kids Tylenol when they have a fever, the conversation was interrupted by a FaceTime from Kim Kardashian, who was getting her makeup done for the Met Gala.

Will Kourtney’s kids survive if no one forces them to memorize PEMDAS or read The Great Gatsby? They’re wealthy, so probably yes. Is now the time to come out as anti-school, as the president attempts to gut the Department of Education and children’s reading scores are sinking to record lows? No. This is where I’d tell Kourtney to read the room, but she’s clearly uninterested in literacy.
