After getting married in an intimate ceremony in London this past weekend, Charli XCX and George Daniel of the 1975 are reportedly planning a second, much larger wedding celebration for later this summer in Sicily. Salute!
“They’ve always dreamed of a big party in Italy,” a source told People. “Somewhere beautiful and private, where all their friends can let loose. It will be star-studded. This was always the plan. London was the official wedding, but a big event is happening too and it will be epic.”
The Italian wedding rumor was also reported by The Sun earlier this month. “Charli and George fell in love with Sicily and knew they wanted to get married there,” a source told the tabloid. “It’s incredibly secluded and romantic. There will be no expense spared. It’s costing tens of thousands of pounds and visually it will be mesmerizing. Charli and George said they wanted a massive party and there are no restrictions on when the bar has to close, so it can go on all night.” This reminds me of another big wedding that was held in Italy this summer, but I have a feeling Charli’s won’t draw in a hoard of local protestors.

If the couple’s smaller London ceremony is any indication of how their second wedding will be, I’m sure there will be endless trays of cigarettes, martinis, and a late-night rave. Sounds like brat summer really is forever.
